Nafsaniyoun Book Fair is a cultural initiative that highlights the role of books in shaping psychological awareness and enriching the intellectual life of society.

Designed with intention and depth. Each edition is held in response to the needs of the moment, bringing together psychology, literature, and the humanities in one reflective space. While the fair places a strong emphasis on psychological publications, it also features a wide range of genres including novels, poetry, essays, philosophy, and critical theory, making it a truly interdisciplinary event.

Through this initiative, Nafsaniyoun invites the public to explore the inner and outer worlds we inhabi, through reading, conversation, and shared cultural experience.

Editions of Nafsaniyoun Book Fair

1st Edition – 2021
Title: بُقعة نفس (A Spot of Psyche)
Organized during COVID-19 pandemic, this first edition responded to collective trauma with books that addressed psychological resilience, isolation, and healing. It offered a space for quiet reflection and connection at a time of global uncertainty.

2nd Edition – 2022
Title: لآخر نفس
This edition focused on themes of survival, identity, and emotional endurance. Alongside psychological texts, it presented novels and literary works that explored the intersections of psyche, body, and society during moments of personal and national hardship.

3rd Edition – 2025
Title: إرث وأثَر (Legacy and Impact)
Held in memory of Professor Mostafa Hijazi, Honorary President of Nafsaniyoun, this edition honored his legacy through a selection of works centered on intergenerational trauma, Arab liberation psychology, and cultural identity. It also featured reflective literature and philosophical texts connected to his intellectual influence.
