Our Publications
At Nafsaniyoun, publishing is not a side project it is a direct expression of our mission: to make psychology accessible, relevant, and rooted in Arab cultural life. This section intersects deeply with our broader goals of promoting psychological knowledge, confronting taboos, and creating informed dialogue beyond professional circles.
How It All Started
Our publishing journey began with an act of trust and distinction. The great poet and thinker Adonis honored Nafsaniyoun by choosing us to publish the final book of Mustafa Safwan, the founding figure of Arab psychoanalysis. Not only did he entrust us with this major work he also wrote its introduction. This gesture set the tone for everything that followed: a commitment to depth, meaning, and cultural responsibility.
A Publishing Philosophy with a Public Face
At Nafsaniyoun, we don’t just release books we bring them into the public sphere. Each publication is part of a broader cultural experience.
We organize:
► Book tours and signing events across Lebanon and the Arab world.
► A strong presence at the Beirut Arab International Book Fair.
► Our own Nafsaniyoun Book Fair, where readers meet authors, analysts, and thinkers.
► Media campaigns that make psychological thought visible and accessible.
Thanks to this dynamic approach, our books have become best-sellers in psychology in Lebanon and across the Arab world.
Publishing in Arabic: A Cultural Duty
We believe that translating psychological knowledge into Arabic is essential for meaningful access and development in the region. We publish original Arabic works and carefully selected translations, ensuring that our readers engage with both local realities and global perspectives. We proudly collaborate with Dar Al-Nahda Al-Arabiya, one of the region’s most respected publishing houses, to ensure editorial excellence and regional reach.
