This training is grounded in the analysis of real therapeutic sessions presented in verbatim format, with the aim of developing dynamic skills in reading clinical cases and understanding personality structures and unconscious dynamics.
The program includes the presentation of clinical sessions, along with group-based dynamic analysis, linked to core psychoanalytic concepts such as transference, defenses, psychic structure, and anxiety.

This training consists of 12 hours, distributed across five main sessions, in addition to an introductory session, as follows:
Introductory Session (2 hours):
An introduction to the analysis of clinical sessions, covering methodology, techniques used, and the therapeutic aims of this mode of analysis.
Session One (2 hours):
A clinical case reflecting a hysterical personality structure, focusing on the analysis of defenses, patterns of transference, and aspects of infantile sexuality related to the clinical presentation.
Session Two (2 hours):
A clinical case of an obsessional personality, with emphasis on internal conflict, excessive idealization, and control mechanisms used to manage fragmentation anxiety.
Session Three (2 hours):
Analysis of a case reflecting a borderline personality, addressing affective instability, the longing for fusion, and difficulties in transference and countertransference.
Session Four (2 hours):
A case study of a narcissistic personality, exploring compensatory defenses, object relations patterns, and the experience of narcissistic injury.
Session Five (2 hours):
A clinical case of neurotic depression, analyzing manifestations of repressed sadness, guilt, and the unconscious need for punishment and deprivation.
Dr. Elie Abou Chacra Licensed Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, Psychoanalyst & Clinical Educator, currently serving as Head of the Training Department at Nafsaniyoun Center. He holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology and Psychopathology from Saint Joseph University of Beirut and a Master’s degree in Arabic Literature from the Lebanese University.
With over two decades of clinical experience, dr. Elie specializes in personality disorders and the integration of psychoanalytic theory with contemporary neuroscience, regularly delivering seminars and conferences for mental health professionals. Elie is the author of a widely read Arabic-language book on psychodynamic psychotherapy and He is currently preparing to launch a TFP training and certification center in Lebanon in collaboration with Nafsanyoun center.
